Every so often it happens that someone asks me (with all due respect) what, as a stay-at-home-mom of school-aged kids, I do with my time. I never really know what to say. Every day is different, but today it was this. Sorting, cutting out and counting labels with a few other moms at school. We probably got a couple hundred dollars' worth ready to redeem. Just for the record, there is nothing redeemable about an empty Capri Sun pouch. Amazing what shows up in those collection bins!

Yes, we collect and donate labels! SO glad to see that there are people at your school that take the time to do that too! Oh, and the Capri Sun pouches are redeemable somewhere.... my school collects them! So, if you don't know what to do with them, give 'em to me!
Seriously?? I had no idea! We don't collect them, and there wasn't any information on them. I left that one in the waste basket at school. Next time I'll know!
My sil made purses (like beach totes) out of the Capri Sun pouches. Looks like you have a lot of labels. I've got a sandwich bag full of those box tops I need to send to my local homeschool organization. Fun pic!
Just found this - http://brands.kraftfoods.com/caprisun/be-green-earn-green.aspx
Just a little sidestory - every church function we have, the school offers caprisun pouches for drinks and then sends select kids around to collect the empty pouches in the empty boxes. The first time that happened, I thought they were just being really nice and picking up trash until I was scolded when I tried to put my napkin in too!! That was how I was schooled on the topic.... :)
That's pretty smart! I see they have a minimum of 500 before you can redeem them, and it might be a challenge to get that many donated. This way, they can save those and then add the ones people send in.
grrr.... I meant to say school function, but then again, I think you knew that. :)
Boy, how I remember those days, Tracy! Never did the coupon thing, but trying to answer that Question...! People wouldn't get it even if you tried to tell them, so I often joked about watching soap operas and eating bon-bons.
