My charming husband rescued this tiny little painted turtle from its sure demise on the bike path today. To say that "Mr. T" (as he was named by kids after school) was appreciative would be a bit of a stretch.
To say that he will be returned to the wild tomorrow would be correct. There may or may not be tears.

That second shot he really is climbing up, straight up the wall around his paper box lid. He did this repeatedly, fell on his back, and flipped himself right over. We had to leave him outside overnight in case he escapes.
Wow! He is really tiny, but so feisty!
Funny, if there are tears I'm pretty sure they will not be yours!
