Here is what I love about my home state: we are cup half full people. We went to the Winter Carnival today, where people gather together and embrace the season that descends on us for half the year. I took a zillion pictures, but this one is the best slice of life. I love the little girls in front, fixated on their corn dogs and oblivious to the bare-armed bridal party (one of two that we saw) coming through to view the ice sculptures. All the movement is a great indicator that no one stands around for long in the cold.

Ok, so what I want to know is what's the story with the girl to the far right that looks like she's in a wedding gown? Great action shot and boy does it ever look cold. I won't tell you what the weather was here in Florida today. ;-)
She is a bride, Sandy! There were two of them there while we were.
We have an ice sculpture viewing near us too! I love them! This is a fantastic shot! I like the shape of the shot (like a panorama).
P.S. PERFECT placement of Minnesota! Don't you love when you can get just the right look for your photos? You have a great story-telling eye!
This was down in Rice Park, right? I love what they do with that place all winter long and the ice sculptures for Winter Carnival are amazing! It was a perfect Winter Carnival day yesterday--cold enough to keep the ice sculptures intact, yet warm enough to be outside and no longer feel you need to bundle up against a cold wind. Can spring be far behind?
What a great shot! It tells a story! It would be so fun to see ice sculptures.
